El individualismo a\u00edsla de los dem\u00e1s y pone barreras a la comprensi\u00f3n de las realidades sociales m\u00e1s b\u00e1sicas. Entre ella, la familia es la m\u00e1s perjudicada.<br \/>\nLa familia es el entrono propio de lo humano. Somos humanos porque somos familiares y en la medida en que seamos m\u00e1s familiares, m\u00e1s humanos seremos. Por ello, el mejoramiento de la situaci\u00f3n y condiciones de vida de las familias debe ser objetivo prioritario de toda acci\u00f3n de gobierno.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">La mejor familia es aquella en la que mejor pueden criarse los hijos y es \u00e9sta la que debe ser salvaguardada y legitimada por los poderes p\u00fablicos. Se trata de aquella en la que los padres, var\u00f3n y mujer, forman un matrimonio en uni\u00f3n permanente de vida y amor al servicio de la prole y de toda la sociedad.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">El reconocimiento de la familia como \u00e1mbito de bienestar, de equidad, de justicia y de realizaci\u00f3n implica la confianza. Los gobiernos deben confiar en las familias: garantizar su libertad y asegurar tambi\u00e9n su capacidad decisoria. Para ello, esta declaraci\u00f3n asume como meta alcanzar en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os en todo el mundo el derecho al voto de los ni\u00f1os representados por sus padres.<br \/>\nUno de los logros del siglo XX fue la extensi\u00f3n del sufragio universal a la mujer, aun y cuando este derecho no est\u00e9 plenamente reconocido en algunos pa\u00edses. En el siglo XXI la inclusi\u00f3n de los ni\u00f1os en el sufragio har\u00e1 definitivamente universal el derecho al voto, que es una exigencia irrenunciable de la persona en una sociedad democr\u00e1tica. Toda vida humana, no importa su tama\u00f1o, debe ser reconocida por la sociedad como miembro actual y no solo potencial.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">La participaci\u00f3n activa de la familia en las elecciones implica otorgarle el voto a todo el n\u00facleo familiar en proporci\u00f3n a su tama\u00f1o. Consiste en la equiparaci\u00f3n de la ciudadan\u00eda a la nacionalidad: la extensi\u00f3n de los derechos propios de la ciudadan\u00eda a todos los nacionales, incluyendo los menores de edad.<br \/>\nEl voto de los ni\u00f1os representados por sus padres es una manifestaci\u00f3n de que la familia es sujeto social de derechos. Toda persona desde el inicio de su vida debe de tener el derecho a su inclusi\u00f3n en el censo. El voto de cada menor de edad ser\u00e1 emitido por sus padres de acuerdo con el sistema que cada pa\u00eds vea m\u00e1s conveniente y justo a sus circunstancias.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">El derecho al voto de los ni\u00f1os es tambi\u00e9n una necesidad educativa. La sociedad necesita padres responsables que sepan transmitir valores y actitudes saludables de generaci\u00f3n en generaci\u00f3n conformando culturas de servicio en la que los ni\u00f1os sean protagonistas. Los poderes p\u00fablicos deben facilitar esta tarea ense\u00f1ando a ense\u00f1ar en y desde las familias.<br \/>\nUna cultura y una sociedad saludables suponen el protagonismo de los ni\u00f1os, para los que trabajamos y preparamos un mundo mejor y plenamente incluyente. Individualism not only isolates us from others. It also blocks our understanding of the most basic social realities.Worst affected is the family.<br \/>\nThe family is the characteristic environment of the human. We are human first of all because we are related to other humans. And we become more human as we become better members of our families. Thus the improvement of the conditions of life of families should be a priority for all governments.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Families are better insofar as they are better able to raise children. Such families should be safeguarded and legitimated by public authorities, families in which both parents, male and female, form a permanent matrimonial union of life and love, for the sake of their children and thereby also for the sake of the whole society.<br \/>\nRecognition of the family as a sphere of well-being, fairness, justice and self-realization involves trust. Governments should trust families, guaranteeing their liberty and also assuring their capacity to affect public decisions. Those societies that focus on the needs of the next generation are the best stewards of our resources and of our environment.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The needs and concerns of families lack proportionate political weight as long as ballots are not distributed for children as well as for adults. One-person-one-vote means that a family of four should have four votes. Only thus is human equality effectively secured. For this reason, this declaration takes up as a goal to be reached in the coming years throughout the world the right of children to the vote, represented by their parents.<br \/>\nJust as women\u2019s interests could not be adequately represented without the power of their vote, so, too, children\u2019s interests cannot have sufficient public impact without a vote on their behalf by those nearest to them. The fact that children cannot yet make decisions for themselves does not deprive them of representation, through an adult, in a court. Neither should this incapacity deprive them of representation in a legislature. That they need help to voice their interests should not mean that they count for nothing. Every human life, of whatever size, should be recognized by society as an actual member \u2014 not just a potential one. Truly universal suffrage is an inalienable claim of the person in a democratic society.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Active electoral participation by families entails awarding them the vote in proportion to their size. If there is only one parent in a family, that person will cast the vote of each of his or her children. If both are present, each parent independently will case one-half vote on behalf of each of their children, according to procedures which each country considers most appropriate.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The right of children to the vote is also an educational necessity. Society needs responsible parents who know how to transmit healthy values and attitudes from generation to generation. Among these is the principle of equal respect and concern for persons of every size and condition. We must form cultures of service in which children play a leading part, and public authorities should facilitate this task in and from families. A healthy culture and society suppose the centrality of the children for whom we work to prepare a better and fully inclusive world. To empower children\u2019s interests is to give weight to that future over the present. And it is also an effective way to vaccinate ourselves against excessive individualism.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-2 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-one-full fusion-column-first
